Follow the steps below and you'll be dynamically optimising away with broadcast experiments in no time.
If you're using broadcast straight split testing for Adobe, you want this getting started article. Otherwise, please proceed.
Set-up requests
The first thing you need to do is request two things from your Jacquard Customer Success representative:
A package of the Broadcast Dynamic Optimisation Adobe workflow snippet
A Jacquard Connect Server access token for your Jacquard account
And as for Adobe:
Add https://connect.phrasee.co to your Adobe serverconf.xml as an authorised address. This can be done at https://experience.adobe.com/#/controlpanel by your administrator or by creating a support request.
For every experiment you want to deploy using Broadcast Dynamic Optimisation, include the Jacquard open tracking pixel in your email templates. You should be able to see the tracking pixel format in the description of the workflow, or you can request it from us at Jacquard.
Purpose of the package
The workflow package contains the base workflow template for a Broadcast Dynamic Optimisation experiment. Think of this entire snippet as a Jacquard split test delivery activity. You'll use it in place of your regular delivery activity in workflows where you want to use Jacquard-optimised language.
You can find details about each step of the workflow here.
Preparing the snippet
In order to get up and running smoothly, it's a good idea to request a technical onboarding and demonstration of the workflow from your Jacquard Customer Success representative.
Begin by importing the workflow snippet package. Put it someplace safe where you can find it easily within your folder architecture.
Once you have the workflow snippet imported, open it up and double-click on the Campaign settings activity.
Replace the string of Xs on line 7 with the Jacquard token.
Now, you're ready to proceed to campaign configuration. Please review our testing considerations below before you attempt a live campaign send.
Testing considerations
Our Adobe workflow snippet is provided as a starting point for maximising the effectiveness of Broadcast Dynamic Optimisation. This starting point will allow you to automatically apply Dynamic Optimisation to any Adobe campaigns you want to optimise with Jacquard language.
You will need to incorporate the workflow snippet into your existing workflow where you would usually have your email delivery activity. The base workflow snippet is provided for you to use as is or change to suit your needs.
We recommend you conduct several tests of the workflow's implementation in your own Adobe account before attempting a live send, as we can't account for all of the possible configurations available in Adobe.
Once incorporated, the workflow will manage the entire process of dynamically testing and adjusting the proportions in real time to maximise the number of recipients who will experience the best-performing variant.
