The Dynamic Optimisation integration for SMS works with Braze's Connect Content. With a few simple code snippets and a dedicated Currents connection, you can optimise your SMS content.
Written walkthrough
Create a reusable API token
The first thing you'll need to get started is a unique API token. This is a string of characters that will serve as your Braze campaign's password to access your Jacquard language.
You can create this yourself in the Jacquard platform as long as you have admin access. If you are not a Jacquard admin, please request that your admin do this for you.
Ensure SMS is enabled properly your Braze account
You’ll need SMS/MMS enabled in Braze. You'll also need a subscription group with your own 10DLC in order to send messages through this channel. Speak with your Braze representative for assistance with either.
Additionally, each user you intend to message needs to have a phone number associated with their user profile. Otherwise, they won’t be included in the reachable audience.
What's next?
Once you've got your token in hand, follow these simple steps to get your Braze integration all configured:
Set up a Current to send Jacquard your SMS data.
Remove PII fields from the new Current.
Configure your reusable content block.
Configure the code snippet for Braze and add it to your SMS message.
Test your message to ensure your variants pull in and any personalisation tags you are using render properly.
Apply final deployment settings if applicable.
Deploy your message.
