Cordial - Test and Deploy

Deploying broadcast experiments with Jacquard's test and deploy methodology in Cordial

Updated over a week ago

Before you continue, please ensure you've created and shared the API key to your Cordial instance.

Create a draft message in Cordial that includes your human control subject line, message content and audience.

If you haven't yet, create your Jacquard experiment. On the results summary page, select the Cordial setup within the experiment details panel on the right side of your screen.

Then, find your draft Cordial message to link to your Jacquard experiment using the Select a draft message dropdown.

Next, choose Split with champion from the Select an experiment type dropdown.

Under Send winning variant, enter the amount of time (in hours and minutes) you'd like the test to run before choosing a winner.

Finally, click Create experiment. Jacquard will then publish the experiment to your Cordial message.

Back in Cordial, the experiment will be setup with the following:

  • The language variants.

  • The percentage of audience to be included in the test. This will come from the Jacquard split calculator based on the audience size and selection metric you entered in Step 1.

  • The optimisation metric (opens or clicks) that Cordial will use to choose the winner. This will come from the selection metric you chose in Step 1 of your Jacquard experiment creation.

  • The amount of time for the test to run prior to the winner being selected.

If you need to make any changes to the variants or test, you can click Delete back in Jacquard panel. This will remove the experiment settings and all test variants from your message in Cordial and unlink the experiments.

When you're ready to schedule, simply do so directly in Cordial. Once your experiment completes, you can export a CSV of the results from Cordial and use this to upload your results into Jacquard.
