Important steps for scheduling your experiment properly

Updated over 6 months ago

There are five questions you’ll need to answer before you can schedule your experiment.

1. Which email are you going to send?

Select or search for the template you want to use in the dropdown menu. This dropdown list is populated with all the shared templates currently in your Acoustic Campaign instance.

2. Who do you want to leave off the list?

Select or search for the suppression lists to apply to your campaign. This list displays all shared suppression lists available in your Acoustic Campaign instance. You can select multiple lists if you’d like.

3. When do you want to send out your split test?

Your split test send time is based on the date you selected back in Step 2, “Campaign Details.” You’ll need to keep in mind the time required between split test send and final send when setting this time. To determine your optimal split test send time, simply subtract the amount of time you want your splits to run from the exact time you want your final send to go out.

4. How long will you wait between sending your split test emails and sending your final send emails?

Jacquard suggests you leave at least 4 hours for your split test email results to come in before deploying your “final send” email. However, if there are time constraints on the experiment, you can select a shorter wait time and set your “final send” time for less than 4 hours. Just be sure to consult with your Jacquard Customer Success representative before making this decision.

5. What kind of send time optimisation do you want to use?

Send Time Optimisation functionality is an Acoustic Campaign function and has to be activated in Acoustic Campaign in order to be changed from the standard "NONE." Please refer to Acoustic's documentation for more information on this functionality.

Once you have selected the times and optimisation, click Schedule experiment.

Once your experiment is successfully set up in Acoustic Campaign, you will receive the message below. (This means you’ve done it right!)

You’ll also see your split test emails scheduled in Acoustic Campaign.

With that, your experiment setup is complete. Jacquard will take it from here.

We’ll automatically retrieve your split test results and include the winning subject line in your final send. We’ll also retrieve the results of your final send three days after the experiment launch and send them to you to review.
